Overfat vs Overweight: Do You Know The Difference?

There is a common problem in terminology that is responsible for most people FAILING to reach their body composition goals. This problem has been going on for years, and unless it is addressed and understood, you could be at a HUGE disadvantage when trying to improve the way you look. The problem is overweight vs overfat. Do you know the difference?

The truth is, when most men and women look in the mirror and don’t like what they see, they say things like, “I need to lose weight” or “I need to lose 20 pounds”. Their focus is on the amount of pounds or kilos they weigh. And they think they will look better if they reduce the number they see when they get on the scale.

What it comes down to is they…

- Get on a scale
- See how much they weigh
- Determine they are overweight
- And decide to look better they need to reduce their overall number of pounds.

And that is the first problem! Answer this question…

If you looked in the mirror and liked what you saw, would you care how much you weigh?

The truth is, how much you weigh has nothing to do with getting the body you want! The dream body you have in mind when you close your eyes is determined by the amount of muscle you have compared to the amount of fat your are carrying. It is not about some number on a scale, but rather about proportions.

So, when most people say they are “overweight”, what they really mean is they are “overfat”.

What Is Overfat?

Overfat means you have too much fat on your body. It is this extra, unwanted fat that is destroying the way you perform, the way you feel and the way you LOOK. Let’s be honest… too much fat is unattractive!

Right now you might be asking, “Isn’t being overweight and overfat the same thing?”

It is not the same thing and here’s why…

You CAN be overweight and overfat at the same time. But it is possible to be the right weight (according to those height – weight charts), and still be overfat. You see, muscle is denser than fat which means it weighs more. So, it is possible to lose weight down to your target weight, and still be carrying too much fat. While the scale says your weight is perfect, you still have too little muscle and too much fat!

The result?

You still don’t look the way you want, even though you lost the weight!

Workout programs and diets designed to lose weight are using the wrong measure of success. Most people who make the effort to exercise and watch what they eat do so to create a lean, athletically muscular, attractive physique. And reaching their goals has little to do with how much they weigh, and everything to do with finding the perfect balance between muscle gain and fat loss.

So, if you are overfat, you need to use a combination of a fat loss workout and proper nutrition to build the body you always wanted. You success is not measured on the scale, but on how you look in the mirror!

Coach Lomax Notes: Here is the sad fact… most people are BOTH “overfat” AND “undermuscled”. Therefore, the best fat loss workout for them not only burns off the unwanted fat, but builds an athletically muscular physique as well!

I always look for workout programs that not only are successful at burning fat, but also protect muscle (or even build muscle), necessary to get the results most people want. After all, it doesn’t matter what the scale says if you are still unhappy with the way you look!

This is why I picked Warp Speed Fat Loss as the best fat loss diet… it gets rid of fat fast, but also protects (and even builds), the muscle that makes you look great when you are lean!
